BIO
Amy grew up in Tennessee. At an early age, her grandfather gave her a 1970's Canon. She studied English Literature in college, yet always carried that 70's Canon. She began her career in New Orleans and later moved to New York City where she began focusing on what she noticed was always her favorite subject - people. As a commercial portrait/documentary photographer she takes a genuine, yet fashion-conscious approach to photographing personalities. Her focus is people, culture and style. She is driven by narrative and inspired by nature, art, fashion and travel. Her work is requested by clients such as The New York Times, BlackBook, 7 For All Mankind, Simon & Schuster, Travel+Leisure, LA Confidential, The Sunday TImes of London, Warner Bros., Style.com and Spanish Vogue, to name a few. Amy is based in Los Angeles where she enjoys hikes, reading, travel, wine and can still sometimes make good use of the film camera her grandfather gave her.
